I just wish I didn't have to fret so much over the counterattack groups. sDefinitely worth it, but what do you get for joining Duty and beating Freedom? The exoskeleton that I got from Freedom was awesome. Made sure I had PLENTY of armor piercing ammo (500 rounds) and went to town. If you can weed out the counterattack squads enough on their way to the freedom camps they'll have no trouble getting rid of them on their own.īut I felt like as soon as I started capturing points, I had to keep going as if that was the only reason for my existence.

I made VERY good good friends with my Vintar BC. You can't do that without a sniper rifle though. Then I started taking pot shots at people in the base, which seemed to end the constant counterattack brigade as I eventually took taht over. When I got both the east entrances to the Agroprom under Freedom control I made a mad dash to start taking out squads before they could even make it to my captured spots. it seemed like if I could capture all the points on a map and hurry to the next map the counter attacks would stop on the first map. The only real problem I had was having to constantly defend certain points from endless counterattacks. I had a few weird moments like that, but it wasnt too bad. After joining with Freedom and being given a mission to 'capture and hold a point' that already had Freedom troops there with bad guys never showing up, I loaded the save I made right before joining Freedom. I thought it was kinda funny:Īlso, should I go ahead and give Oblivion Lost on SHoC a try? Or should I beat SHoC the normal way THEN try OL?Įvery weekend. It was worth 70,000, and I was only going to get 7500 for it) so that was 35kg of weight added. I decided I liked the gun so much that I wanted to keep it and its ammo (never returned it. But as it is with my dire bandage shortage and no way to resupply (unless I'm missing something?), I think I've hit a dead end.Īlso, I did a mission to collect a machine gun from the tank in the Red Forest, and the thing had 2000 rounds of ammo in it. I think if I had those I would be able to beat it. I figured they were superfluous - Not the case. I sold the mama's beads to pay to get the automatic health regeneration on my exoskeleton. As I had plenty of ammunition (So far) and although my armor was at 60-70 percent at taht point, it was an exoskeleton so it would have done well for a while. Im thinking Im gonig to start over, and this time I am NOT going to sell those mama's beads. Is there anything else taht can stop it? I went through like 8 blue medkits and that stopped it once, but I only have 1 left. Is there something to this bleeding business that Im missing? I mean I'm having to use like 2-5 bandages per hit, and when you've got hordes of enemies using armor piercing rounds it's easy to run out of bandages very quickly. Then as I was desperate for bandages (I had used something like 7 of them, my guns were jamming, my armor was deteriorating) and bleeding everywhere then an attack chopper shows up. I got to the hospital in CS, but I went through about 40 bandages through Liamansk and I cant get any farther than halfway (I suppose) thruogh the hospital without bleeding to death. I just started playing SHoC and it's good, but I'm amazed at how far they came with Clear Sky after playing SHoC for a few days. You can also jump on the smaller ones to break them, and if you jump at them from a high enough distance, you can break the brown crates as well. You have to get lucky and try breaking the smaller ones. It's not that ridiculous to assume that crates are just environmental decoration when every crate you try to break doesn't do anything. I remember shooting at some of them with a shotgun and knifing them and nothing happening, because I was shooting at crates that cant be broken. So really, how are you supposed to know until you randomly knife one of the small ones? Until that happens, there's nothing else in the game to indicate that crates contain goodies at all. It's only 1 specific type of crate that you can actually open, and all the rest are impenetrable. It's amazing what realizing that you can slash boxes and those weird metal cases open can do for your supplies.Ĭrates are usually in games for a reason.
